QUERY: Aunts and Orphans

Perhaps list members can help me with a bit of research. John Shade and VV
(in LATH) were orphaned raised by an aunt. I'm curious whether there is any
literary precedent for this plot situation. Clearly the orphaned child is a
common trope in fairy tales, but can anyone think of any 18th or 19th
century works that specifically involve an orphan raised by an aunt?
Thanks,
Matt Roth
