THOUGHTS: Harold D. Doublename

Some time past, there was a brief discussion about the identity of the
Midwestern left-wing (professor) "Harold D. Doublename." I suggest that
this might be an allusion to Harold D. Lasswell of the University of
Chicago--a contemporary of Herr Nabokov and Ms Darkbloom. Of course, the
double aspect of the name is "iffy." Whether Lasswell be labeled liberal
or left-wing, Nabokov was sure to loathe titles like _Psychopathology and
Politics_.
