Dear Matt and Tiffany,
I wish to congratulate you on doing what I, having happily dropped out
of the academic sphere aeons ago, would never have been willing to do
--- make the academically acceptable case for our mostly shared
understanding of Pale Fire.
I don't think you got my interpretation quite right, but rather than
discuss it further on the impatient List, you have inspired me to
think about organizing and writing down my own thoughts and experience
of trying to understand Pale Fire.
Any plans for other-than-virtual publication?
congs to you both from
Carolyn
p.s. I ran into another example of "pale fire" yesterday while (brrr)r-
re-reading Little Dorrit in the early chapter "Little Dorrit's Party."
