Subject
[NABOKOV-L] Botkin, with a PS to "bimanist"
From

Body
[ JM: The words Shade uses are "bimanist" not "ambidextrous" (the latter implies a kind of "dexterity" that he fussily lacks!).]
PS: Shade might have been playing with the word "humanist," too, when he chose to describe himself as a "bimanist."
This adds a lot of sparkles to the game, if sound and not etymological sense prevails, to replace "man" (human, created from humus) and "manus" (hand).
Perhaps with an additional serendipity: "hum" (uno, one) and "bi" (two)
