Plans are afoot once again to mark the anniversary of VN's birthday, which (after adjusting for differences between Gregorian and Julian calendars) falls on Saturday, April 23, 2011.
We hope you'll join us by creating and submitting a special message to the List for distribution on or around that day. Consider sending scholarly tidbits, anecdotes, images, poems, parodies, games, performances, surprises, memories, toasts, greetings, best wishes, and whatever else seems appropriate. Please send such posts at any time between now and April 23, using a special subject heading: BIRTHDAY.
Past birthday tributes to VN have been moving, amusing, creative, and beautiful. We look forward to this year's celebration!
